Well its been a very busy few weeks! The work seems like its never going to end! The work is very tough but it will be worth it in the end! I finally got my school after nearly three weeks of waiting- I'm in a school in Widnes and its very nice.
As for my experiences with ICT so far- Im getting the hang of using the Smartboard technology, we've been working with in in Maths, Geography, Religion, ICT and English. We've been learning the basics of how to put a lesson presentation together in ICT and that knowledge has come in useful for Geography, because this week we have had to put a lesson starter together about the Island of Coll. Ours was NOT the greatest in the world, but we managed to get through it alright. The Smartboard technology is coming in very handy for some classes, we have to put a presentation together for history in the next few days, and it is an option to use it, although Powerpoint seems much more likely.
The only problem I have is that my SBL school uses the Promethium White Boards, which is different to the ones the university uses. The school has very kindly offered to install the software on my laptop so I can plan lessons for my SBL class on it- my only fear is that I am not familiar with it at all and it will take a lot of getting used to! Ahh well, I'll know better about that next week.
